In the world of development there is actually a need of an hour to save our Environment, environment in a broad sense is the surroundings which we live and due to rapid development and radical changes in the society, our environment, we as humans are putting it in danger and some measures have to be taken if we want to have a sustainable environment for the future generations.
Environmental Engineering is a sub-discipline in the field of Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering, most of the universities offer Environmental Engineering, it is the application of engineering and scientific principles to have a healthy environment. Environmental engineering will help us to balance the environment through various measures in terms of recycling, waste disposal, pollution control and so on. Day by day various governments are initiating various measures and policies to protect the environment and there knowledge of environmental engineering will be handy and therefore environmental engineering is most of the times termed as future engineering because in future it is going to be a tough task to conserve our environment. Environment Engineering has various disciplines such as water supply engineering, waste water engineering and so on, even if there is a flat system in metro cities it is becoming mandatory to have their own recycling plants in their own backyard and this has led many environmental engineers to become active in the society. Nowadays water restoration is becoming a major field of research in environmental engineering to preserve the water bodies, controlling the air pollution is becoming nowadays a major task specially in the urban and metro cities and even chemical engineers with background of environmental engineering are carrying out researches to optimize the air pollution, there is a lot scope for the environmental engineers in the coming decades and also as a common man everyone has to step up in one or the other way to think how we can save our environment and have a good healthy life.
