The Shiv Dhanush Bridge at Har-ki-Pauri in Haridwar is one of the landmarks in the city considered as a holy city for the Hindus around the world. Constructed for the Ardha Kumbh in the year 2016, this bridge was to serve link between Har-ki-Pauri and Delhi-Rishikesh National Highway.

Shiv Dhanush Bridge Highlights
- Bridge build across the Ganga Canal adjacent to Har-ki-Pauri at Haridwar
- Ganga River, is said to be originating from the Head of Lord Shiva and hence the shape of bridge was conceived as Dhanush of Lord Shiva
- The members of Dhanush are structural members forming part of a Trussed System
- Three Spans of 22m, 44m, 22m with Approach Bridges on either side
- TATA Yst=310N/mm2, Square Hollow Sections and Rectangular Hollow Sections are used
- Steel Fabrication work done at Client’s Workshop in Roorkee, Segmental pieces of 4m were transported and assembled on Site at Haridwar
- Civil Foundation work done in 30 days during the annual Canal Maintenance period post Dusshera in October 2015
- Bridge assembly completed by December 2015
- Opened for public in January 2016
- Nominated as top 10 bridges in the world in Bentley Year Book.
